Permaculture is a toolbox, a way of viewing and interconnecting systems.
Graham Burnett said, “Permaculture is revolution disguised as organic gardening.”
I came to permaculture after purchasing 5 acres in the Chehalem Mountain range. After seeing what was going on and how it respected the land, I had to learn more.
In 2012 I took my Permaculture Design Consultant’s Course from Toby Hemenway. This class was one weekend a month for 6 months. The weekend of my wife’s birthday I did not earn any points.
The first time I heard the word Permaculture I was on the Friendly Haven Rise Farm taking a beekeeping class from Jacqueline Freeman.
